Henry Timken Estate Stables in Canton, Ohio

2317 13th St NW; Canton, OH 44708

It was built between 1916 and 1918 as the stable for the Henry Timken Estate. The 15,500 square-foot two-story barn designed by a Pittsburgh architect is circular with four round turrets, 14 inch thick walls and an open interior courtyard. The stable caretaker lived in one of the turrets. The structure is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was converted into a restaurant and sports bar in 1992 by Chris and Stefanie Spielman. The domed ceiling beams that were added over the courtyard came from the former Massillon gymnasium. Salvaged Massillon bleachers were used to build the bar and hostess station.
